Clinical/Research InterestsDr. Liu's clinical interests include general and ambulatory anesthesiology. His research centers on intracellular Na, Ca, pH, ATP and Pcr changes during ischemia and hypoxia of adult hearts, and the use of fluorescence imaging to study intracellular Na, Ca and pH in isolated cardiac myocytes and other cell lines. Dr. Liu also researches or investigates aesthetic pre-conditioning to better design age-related interventions for ischemic and reperfusion injury prevention. |
