The Ultrasound Guided Peripheral Nerve Blockade Workshop with Cadaver Lab was held 6/6-7/14.

Dr. Steve Macres started the Friday morning program with presentations on the physics of ultrasound, truncal blocks, and lower extremity blocks.  Dr. Robin Aldwinckle finished the morning session with a presentation on upper extremity and paravertebral blocks.  The entire afternoon was dedicated to hands-on live model demonstrations.  Attendees were given an opportunity to practice upper extremity, lower extremity, truncal and posterior blocks.

Saturday was spent in the UC Davis Anatomy Lab.   Attendees were given opportunity to use various ultrasound machines, scan and inject on cadavers.

Feedback has been extremely positive and we were happy to see UC Davis faculty and resident alumnus in attendance.  If you were not able to attend, please mark your calendars for June 2015.
